Our region - Agria

Agria is the gate of the mountain Pelion and a holiday resorts throughout the year. Combining sea and mountain and due to its privileged geographical position it has the ability to offer its visitors moments of relaxation.

There are today more than 6 thousand people living there and in terms of facilities it has nothing less than a Modern Greek city. The houses spread across the cost line of Pagasitikos, right at the outskirts of mountain Pelion. The Municipality of Agria includes the Communities of Drakeia, Agria and Xania where the Ski Center is located.

Due to its position Agria is the gate to all the mountain villages of Pelion, but also its beautiful beaches. It has many popular night clubs and during summer it is the center of the nightlife of Volos. Volos is only a short drive from Agria, so it offers all kinds of alternatives to its visitors especially during winter.

 Agria is also known for its beautiful tsipouradika, where one can drink the traditional tsipouro and taste the fresh fish dishes, which are loved by the locals and preferred by the visitors.

If you visit Agria during the month of July, you will have the opportunity to live the unique experience of the popular “Fish Night”. It is an annual celebration that gives to everybody the opportunity to enjoy special moments of fun and culture.
